In the Dead of Night

Edmund Jolliffe

This is a mysterious piece, which starts very softly. It builds up to a climax, then fades away again towards the end. The right hand stays within D and A in the treble clef, apart from the final two bars. At the end you need to play a rolled chord. The last hand has a mixture of B flats and B naturals. The whole piece should be legato.

Warm up: D minor scale and broken chord
